Ce que sont les cookies et le stockage local

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store and send back on the next request. Local storage is a similar browser facility, but the data stays in the browser and is only read by the page's own scripts — it is not attached to requests.

Both are covered by the same rules in the EU (Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in your country), which is why we describe both here even though only one of them is technically a cookie.

This is the complete list of what this website stores in your browser. Both entries are strictly necessary: without them the cart would empty on every page and the back office could not be secured.

Your language choice is expressed in the URL — /de/, /fi/ and so on — rather than in a cookie, so nothing needs to be stored to keep you in your own language.

Cookies de paiement Stripe

When you proceed to checkout you are taken to a payment page hosted by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Stripe sets its own strictly necessary cookies on its own domain to run the payment session and to detect fraudulent activity — that fraud detection is a condition of being able to take card payments at all.

Those cookies are set by Stripe, under Stripe's control, and are described in Stripe's cookie policy and privacy policy. We do not read them. Our own use of Stripe as a processor is described in our privacy policy.

Our host, Cloudflare, may also apply strictly necessary security measures to requests in order to protect the site from automated abuse. These are used only for security and are not used to build a profile of you.

Ce que nous n'utilisons pas

To be completely clear about what is not happening on this site:

• No advertising or retargeting pixels. No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no conversion tracking.
• No cross-site tracking and no data sharing with advertising networks or data brokers.
• No third-party analytics profile. We do not load Google Analytics or a comparable script, and we do not build a behavioural profile of you.
• No social media embeds that would set cookies on your device.
• No fingerprinting.

We only look at aggregate server-side request counts through our hosting platform, which are not tied to an identity and are not used to profile visitors. If we ever introduce analytics or any non-essential storage, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting anything.

Gérer et effacer le stockage

You can clear cookies and local storage for this site at any time from your browser's privacy or site-data settings, and you can block them entirely. Note what that costs you here: clearing nw_cart empties your shopping cart, and blocking storage for this site means the cart cannot be kept between pages.

Emptying your cart from the cart drawer removes the stored entry as well. Nothing we store in your browser identifies you personally, and none of it is shared with anyone.

Consentement

Storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested — keeping your cart, keeping an administrator signed in, running the payment session — is exempt from the consent requirement in Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC. That is why this site shows no cookie banner: there is nothing here to consent to. We consider a banner asking permission for cookies we are not setting to be worse than useless.
